Infant & Toddler Programs

No matter the age, all of our teachers provide a healthy early learning environment.

Infants: 6 weeks-18 months

Our cheerful infant room has many books, interactive toys, puppets, tunnels, and sensory objects that help promote movement, exploration, and communication. Our teachers will sing, play, and dance with your child. Your child will be talked to and read to daily. Our teachers spend a lot of time on the floor interacting with this age group “on their level.”

Teachers will adhere to your child’s daily schedule. Your child can eat, sleep, and play whenever he or she is ready. Each day you will receive “Infant Notes” that detail your child’s day. Communication is key, so please let the teachers know if there is anything they can do to make you or your child more comfortable.

Toddlers: 18 months-30 months

Toddlers are inquisitive and investigative therefore teachers provide the children with rich opportunities to discover the world around them. Teachers have routines that balance quiet and active play, as well as, individual and whole-class lessons.

Toddlers will participate in daily activities where they sing songs, listen to stories, learn about the weather, and practice their letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. They will also explore classroom centers such as dramatic play, transportation, art, literacy, and music. Puzzles and soft blocks support fine motor development while daily physical activities such as rocking horses and scooters support gross motor skills. Your child will go outside every day, weather permitting.

Rising 3’s: 30 months-36 months

These dreamers, designers and discoverers are readying for their transition to preschool. Your child will begin to engage in circle time and continue creative play. In addition, teachers will help introduce writing and communication skills. Large and small group learning activities are planned and implemented. Teachers will focus on the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development of your child.

Chalkboards, magnetic boards and art easels support fine motor development while daily physical activities such as rocking boats, push & pull toys and trikes support gross motor skills. Your child will enjoy physical activity in our toddler-only playroom. Weather permitting, your child will also enjoy daily outdoor play.
